MIDNIGHT RED DREAM OR REAL?

This morning at 8am I wake up, I don't know where I am and why I'm speaking English. What the hell happened last night? I can't remember anything!  I get up, wash my head and have breakfast. Now with my stomach fill up I can think about what happened last  night.

You are the girls of team banana?”

- Yes, we are team banana, Why you ask it, and how do you know it? This wasn't expected. - said Ana Cris to Anthony

- Well we heard that you were here in Madrid and we decide to stay some more days to meet you. You have supported us for many time and we want to return all that love that you give us. No one knows this we are hidden from everyone because this was a surprise and we have people looking for you. Like the taxi man that bring you girls here, he told us where you were coming so we could see you. - told us Anthony with a huge smile in his face.

Y empezaron a cantar con esas voces tan particulares que tienen en acústico y a capella “Hold on we're going home y one club at a time”. Y Eric nos dijo en perfecto español. - chicas esto es por vosotras, guapas, os queremos- Tras cantar esas dos canciones subieron a escenario y nos dedicaron su show, cantaron todas las canciones suya y covers, “take me home, miss firestarter, strobe light, body talks, where did you go?, a night to remember, rock star lover, hell yeah y diamonds”.

I'm only sure about  one thing that I'm Julia, I'm 18. And I don't know why I wake up speaking english. Maybe it was all a dream, Who knows?

Why is important imagination in our lives?

Imagination is the ability to form a mental image that is not perceived through the five senses. It is the ability of the mind to build mental objects or events that do not exist, are not present. Everyone possesses a certain of imagination ability. In some, it is highly developed, and in others, it´s present in a weaker form. Imagination makes it possible to experience a whole world inside the mind.” Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world” Albert Einstein. It gives the ability to look at any situation from a different point of view, and to mentally explore the past and the future. As Carl Sagan said “Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere”
In your imagination, you can travel anywhere in the speed of light, without any obstacles. It can make you feel free. Imagination has a great role and value in each one's life. It is much more than just dreaming. We all use it, whether consciously or unconsciously, in most of our daily affairs. We use our imagination whenever we plan a party, a trip, our work. We use it when we describe an event, write, tell a story or cook. Imagination is a creative power that is necessary for inventing an instrument, designing a dress or a house, painting a picture or writing a book.
But, if you do not recognize the importance of the power of the imagination, and let it run away, your life may not be as happy and successful as you would have wanted it to be. Lack of understanding of the power of the imagination is responsible for the suffering, difficulties, failures and unhappiness people experiences. For some reason, most people are inclined to think in a negative way. They do not expect success. They expect the worst, and when they fail, they believe that fate is against them. This attitude can be changed, and then life will improve accordingly. Understanding, how to use your imagination correctly, and putting this knowledge into practice, will put you on  to success, satisfaction and happiness.
While growing up, I’d never really considered how important it is to be imaginative. It’s a childhood profession, you could say. It comes naturally. Then we hit an age when we’re presented to create a document, a presentation, our CV  when finding a job . At that point, our learning has to fit into certain parameters: within that little bubble, within the one page limit.  So, what happens to our imagination?  It seems to fade.
More and more young people today want to work for start-ups where business meets creativity, where what may seem impossible today is reality tomorrow.  Who knew that you could pay for your Starbucks coffee without cash or credit card?  You can.  Just scan your Starbucks card from your smartphone.  Who knew that we’d be talking in just 140 characters in the 21st century?  as Twitter did. Who knew that we'd be living with robots as home assistants? Now it´s possible with the vacuum cleaners robots.
Imagination creates not just fairy tales and children’s books but a new vision for the way we conduct our lives.  Imaginations challenge the norm, push boundaries, and help us progress. Unfortunately, that imagination is getting sidelined in classrooms, where the emphasis has been on grades and testing for too long.

Alone on my soul

Being the guardian of my life,
Stay alive, live my own life,
Never give up, without breaking down,
It is love our state? Our work?
I would like to be the Catcher in the Rye,
of my home.

Kids, kids, kids ,
Oh! that tenderness they have,
I love how they are, like me.
Carpe Diem, live alone,
live with your heart,
live with your soul,
I would like to be the Catcher in the Rye,
on my own.

Phoebe my love, my sweetheart,
I can´t live without you;
I need your help to be alive,
Still being me? I don´t realy know it,
What may I do? Be with you my sweet love,
my sweetheart

My live, my state, my mood;
Oh God! What may I do?
Being alone on my soul, that´s what I do...

                                          The Catcher of the forgetfulness

Poem Coming through the rye, Robert Burns

"Comin' Thro' the Rye" is a poem written in 1782 by Robert Burns (1759–1796).

It is well known as a traditional children's song, with the words put to the melody of the Scottish MinstrelCommon' Frae The Town. This is a variant of the tune to which Auld Lang Syne is usually sung—in fact the melodic shape is practically the same, the difference lying in the tempo and rhythm.

The title of the novel The Catcher in the Rye by J. D. Salinger comes from the poem's name. Holden Caulfield, the protagonist, misinterprets a part of this poem to mean "if a body catch a body" rather than "if a body meet a body." He keeps picturing children playing in a field of rye near the edge of a cliff, and him catching them when they start to fall off.

"Comin' Thro' the Rye

O, Jenny's a' weet, poor body,
Jenny's seldom dry:
She draigl't a' her petticoatie,
Comin thro' the rye!

Chorus:
Comin thro' the rye, poor body,
Comin thro' the rye,
She draigl't a' her petticoatie,
Comin thro' the rye!

Gin a body meet a body
Comin thro' the rye,
Gin a body kiss a body,
Need a body cry?

(chorus)

Gin a body meet a body
Comin thro' the glen
Gin a body kiss a body,
Need the warl' ken?

(chorus)

Gin a body meet a body
Comin thro' the grain;
Gin a body kiss a body,
The thing's a body's ain.

(chorus)

Ilka lassie has her laddie,
Nane, they say, ha’e I
Yet all the lads they smile on me,
When comin' thro' the rye.

They are many cover versions:

  • The song was covered by Marian Anderson in 1944
  • The song was covered by Bill Haley & His Comets in 1956 as ‘Rockin' Through The Rye’.
  • The song was covered by Alvin and the Chipmunks for their 1960 album Around the World with The Chipmunks.
  • The song was covered by The Real McKenzies for their 2005 album "10,000 Shots."

Tenderness

I have found this poem about tenderness, I related with Holden and the Catcher in th Rye. How he protect the kids from the danger. Although he though in a moment of the novel when he was with Phoebe in the park in the carousel that if she fall down, he must not help her. Everybody have to fall down so then he or she could get up and carry on. We have to be resilient, to know how to overcome the adversities, but first of all we have to fall and pass the breaking down stage, if we need help to recover ask for it, that doesn´t mean that you are weak. We have to be able to found our way as Holden and continue with life, because we only have one and we have to live it, it´s worth it. Never think about leaving this life because you have a problem, solve it and carry on!

With tenderness by Poet on the Piano

Do you know?

Before I succumb to wandering skies,
I dream of an undimmed perspective
where we take our souls to the wind
and sketch intimacy shielding against
separated bases, damaged families.

We will deepen life.

You are my guardian
for when I think rapidly of your eyes,
I understand time has overruled;
let us not forget to count other ways.

I hold a disreputable age mark
but now I have truly loved on my own,
and I design paintings for us
in spare moments- unnoticed.

Breathing fond light,
I touch you with my heart,
choosing to live with your love
already moving in my remembrance.

I've been restricted for so long,
crushed emotions, holding me back;
so many follow your traces,
but not with the passion I color.

Our fate may never echo
what I have always desired;
all I want to die with is that
you realize my love for you,
my life speaks of sacrifice,
I never want to let you go.

You have already become

the quill of my intentions.

Robert Burns

A RED, RED ROSE by Robert Burns sung by Andy M. Stew
art.

This poem was written by Robert Burns, whose poem" If a body meet a body coming through the rye" apears in the novel Catcher in the Rye. Although Holden thought it was " If a body catch a body coming through the rye" thats why he named him self the Catcher in the Rye.

Here you have another poem from this writer Robert Burns.

Rockettes

This painting from Georges Seurat it´s Le Chahut (1890)

It reminds me the Chapter 18 when Holden goes to Radio City and saw the Rockettes. He said " I came in ehn the goddam stage show was on. The Rockettes were kicking their heads off, the way they do when they´re all in line with their arms around each other´s waist. The audience applauded like mad, and some guy behind me kept saying to his wife ´You know what that is? That´s precision´ [...]  When they were all finished and started going out the boxes again, you could tell thet could hardly wait to get a cigarette or something. I saw it with Sally Hayes the year before, and she kept saying how beautiful it was, the costumes and all"

This are does Rockettes or it simed to be, to me they are, hope you see it to.

Six Degrees of Separation

In this film it´s shown a painting from Kandinsky:

The first parts of the painting represents the control and the second the caos. This it´s show in the novel The Catcher in the Rye, how Holden has no rute and how he developed into a person with clear ideas, beeing the Catcher in the Rye to save the kids. That evolution from the desesperation  of knowing who he was to be him self as he whant, was show in the Kandinsky painting, and also through the film Six degrees of separation.

Coming through the rye

I have found this song called Coming through the Rye by Charlie Spivak who was dubbed "The Sweetest Trumpet In The World" and his orchestra. It´s a traditional Scottish ballad.

I love songs from ancient times and I think we should  apreciate more our past, and have knowledge of the big singers or musicians in the world before we born.

Love at first sight

Painting form George Hendrik Breitner De Singelbrug bij de Paleisstraat in Amsterdam.

This painting reminds me about the novel Catcher in the Rye, and how Holden have a special relation with Sally. He told her his feeling, they will go to Vermont and  Massachusetts, although Sally refuses that offer. In the painting the women it´s a metaphor of love at first sight , cause you fall in love with her and you won´t see her again.

I also related with the latin topic " tempus fugit" how past time. How Holden founds his vocation, beeing the Catcher in the Rye, saving the kids from the edge of the cliff.
